The project Baseline Survey of Birds and Bats at the Wind Farm Podveležje, was completed on February 2015. The aim of the project was to assess the impact of the planned wind farm on the birds and bats, and also to provide all information necessary for monitoring of potential impacts arising from habitat loss, displacement, and collision risk.
In order to reach the goals of this project, for the first time in this region, radar system was used to track bird populations during the autumn migration. Radar survey was conducted using two X-band marine radars.
