Participation at Third EcoWET Training

Our employee Marina Škunca attended the third EcoWET training as a national expert (consultant) on ecosystem services assessment. During the training she held two lectures:

  • “Full Assessment (TESSA toolkit)”;

  • “Selected Indicators and Assessment Methods for the Ecosystem Services: Biodiversity”.

Training was held on 3rd of September in the Eco centre Zlatna Greda, as part of the project „EcoWET – Evaluation of ecosystem services of wetland ecosystems in the cross-border area of Croatia – Serbia“. Project partners are Nature Conservation Movement of Sremska Mitrovica, Association for nature and environment protection Green Osijek, Institute for Nature Conservation of Vojvodina Province and Public institution agency for management of protected natural values in Osijek-Baranja County. Project is financed from the Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia-Serbia 2014-2020.

Apart from reviewing acquired knowledge, training aimed to give stakeholders more in-depth knowledge about (adapted) TESSA methodology for data gathering and analysis through presentations and GIS demonstration exercises. Presented methodology will be used during the assessment of ecosystem services for each pilot area.

More about the training and the project read on the web page of the Association for nature and environment protection Green Osijek and on the project's Facebook page.
