Our employee Marina Škunca attended the first EcoWET training as a national expert (consultant) on ecosystem services assessment
Training was held on 13th and 14th of February in the Zasavica Special Nature Reserve (Republic of Serbia), as part of the project „EcoWET – Evaluation of ecosystem services of wetland ecosystems in the cross-border area of Croatia – Serbia“.
Project partners are Nature Conservation Movement of Sremska Mitrovica, Association for nature and environment protection Green Osijek, Institute for Nature Conservation of Vojvodina Province and Public institution agency for management of protected natural values in Osijek-Baranja County. Project is financed from the Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia-Serbia 2014-2020.
Aims of the First training were:
Identification of ecosystems,
Identification of ecosystem services and
Stakeholder analysis for six pilot areas.
Out of six pilot areas where the methodology for the evaluation of ecosystem services will be tested, three are located in Croatia: Spačva basin, Northern part of the Middle Danube basin, as well as Special Ornithological Reserve of Podpanj and the Fishponds Donji Miholjac.
